The Green Bird is back!

Usually finishing a big work like this makes me feel like YAYY and I'm so proud and
stuff like that. Right now my feelings are mostly relief. It's done. Now that it's done, I can start something else.

Don't get me wrong, I really wanted to draw a remake of my most popular work.
I made "Call of the Green Bird" as a tribute to the awesome book I had read and also
because I wanted to prove that I can draw a phoenix that doesn't have any of the
mistakes I usually do. To this remake I wanted to fix the mistakes from the previous
green bird but at the same time it had to look the same as much as possible - same bird
with same color scheme and sparkly background.
The upgrades I made are:
- Took the weird "decorative-armpit-thingies" away and replaced them with glowing white decorations.
- Made colors bit smoother and took care that the bird doesn't get lost in the background.
- Used thinner lineart and colored it.
- Feathers look like feathers and wings are more anatomical.
- Used some perspective which the original didn't have at all.
- The bird also has a tail now. Small, but it's there.
- I also gave the bird a name:
Edynesaye

Despite the upgrades, I didn't want to remake the whole design. Feet had to be strong,
wings huge, longest tail decoration feathers 'cordless' making them look a bit less like real feathers.
I'm not as happy as I could be and I don't know why that is. I feel like I had rushed with this though I know I didn't.
At many points I wanted to redraw the background but I didn't because it had to be
like the original. Some other things disturb me too, like the feet which I've never been very good at.
I'm very appy with some things though. ^^ Shading succeeded wonderfully, glowing parts look great,
her design looks great and above all it looks a lot better than the old one.

I guess that's it. I'm making a reference sheet for Edynesaye later.
